“From Lausanne to Beijing”―the 7th International Fiber Art Biennale Exhibition will be held in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China, on 8th November 2012 to December 15th 2012.

"Tapestries" - an exhibit by Thoma Ewen, Krystyna Sadej and two guest artists, Ewa Bartosz Mazus from Poland and Thomas Cronenberg from Germany.
Together, their work presents an energetic dialogue of cross-cultural vision and an open-ended approach to contemporary woven art.

The City of Ottawa will host an artist talk by
Thomas Cronenberg, on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 7pm - room 1A in the Ben Franklin Place complex. The talk will provide an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange between Mr. Cronenberg and Ottawa-area fibre artists. The exhibit reception will follow the talk. We sincerely invite all to join us. The even is free of charge.

Liv Pedersen in Calgary 
- has recently been weaving small shaped tapestries of faces and framed them mounted on fabric.
Curator and art historian Mary - Beth Laviolette of Canmore has chosen 6 of her newest tapestries to be part of PULSE, a show that celebrates the anniversary of Alberta Society of Artists.
A total of 11 members were invited to show: 3 painters, 2 photographers, 2 sculptors, 2 printmakers, and 2 fibre artists. These are contemporary artists, whose untraditional work tend to fall outside the scope of many juried ASA shows. A second part of the show features historical paintings and prints by founding members.
The opening is on Thursday July 7. 2011 at 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm at Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts, 800 Macleod Trail SE Calgary, Alberta.
There is an art talk Saturday July 9. at 1:30 pm.
